The wine-growing region of Goumenissa, Pella

Sort by Tags |

The vineyards of Goumenissa in northern Greece planted on hilly terrains at altitudes of 150-450 meters. The area is the smallest PDO zone where the Xinomavro grape is cultivated. The composition of PDO Goumenissa wines includes also the local red grape of Negoska. The presence of the Negoska makes the wines somewhat softer than those of PDO Naoussa and intensifies their color and alcohol content.
