The exceptionally temperate and humid climate prevalent in Kavala’s valley and the hilly terrain, provide the ideal place for the acclimatization of native and international grape varieties such as Assyrtiko, Agiorgitiko, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillon, Merlot, Syrah, Pinot Noir. Especially the Assyrtiko found its second home on the slopes of Pangeon and comfortably settled into yielding wines that are more aromatic and elegant than those produced in its birthplace.
