Deep ruby colour. An earthy and evolved nose, red fruits, chocolate and hints of spices, leather and cedar. Distinctive, harmonious, with smooth tannins and long aftertaste. An exceptional wine with plenty of potential.
Food pairing Food pairing
Roasted lamb of Peloponnese, roasted wild boar of Mainalon, traditional rooster with noodles and tomato sauce, hard and matured 'Graviera' cheese of Tripolis. Served at 16 - 18 °C.

The vineyards of Mercouri Estate on the western coast of the Peloponnese, near Ancient Olympia.
Altitude: 80m. Soil: clay.
Harvest: End of September. Yield: 60-70 hl/ha.
Age of vines: 35 years.
Agriculture: Integrated farming.
Vinification Vinification
Classic red wine vinification. Maturation for 18 months in new French oak casks (1/3 Allier, 1/3 Never, 1/3 Vosges). Acidity: 5.0 g/L TA, pH: 3.76, Residual sugar: 2.7 g/L.
