Organoleptic Organoleptic
Bright deep red color with notable viscosity. Exuberant, refined nose of red fruits with notes of polished oak and ripe blackberry. Fleshy on the palate with juicy tannins providing the foundations for a complex fruity profile, dominated by cherry and spices. A world class wine with a long, persistent finish.
Food pairing Food pairing
A hearty Greek beef stew 'stifado-mosharaki', a roasted wild boar of Mainalon, a traditional rooster with noodles and tomato sauce, hard and matured 'Graviera' cheese of Tripolis. Served at 16 - 18 °C.
Origin Origin
The hillside vineyards of Koutsi, within the wine-growing region of Nemea.
Altitude: 450 - 650m. Soil: clay, rocky.
Harvest: End of September. Yield: 50-60 hl/ha.
Age of vines: 15 years (average).
Agriculture: Mild.
Vinification Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation and extraction in stainless steel vats under controlled temperatures. Maturation in new French oak barrels for 12 months. Acidity: 5.4 g/L TA, Residual sugar: 2.9 g/L.
