Velvety deep red colour. Meaty, spicy and leathery nose with an underlying core of black fruit. Full bodied and structured, nice tannic frame and a chocolatey finish. A modern Crete red with a cosmopolitan outlook.

Red meat, roasted and strongly flavoured cheeses. Served at 16 - 18 °C.
Origin Origin
The vineyards of Malevizi, appellation Dafnes, Heraklion, Crete.
Altitude: 400-500m. Soil: Calcium-clay.
Harvest: Mid-September. Yield: 60-70 hl/ha.
Age of vines: 12 years (average).
Agriculture: Mild.
Vinification Vinification
Classic vinification process for red wines at controlled temperatures. Maturation in oak barrels for 12 months and further ageing in the bottle for 12 months. Acidity: 6.8 g/L TA, Residual sugar: 1.8 g/L.
