Origin Origin
Houdetsi and Vathypetro, Heraklion-Crete. Altitude: 350-500 meters, non-irrigated inclining vineyards. Soil: clay-calcareous and granitic. Harvest: Early September. Yield: 39-45 hl/ha. Age of vines: 15 years old average.
Agriculture: Conventional.
Vinification Vinification
Typical red wine fermentation at controlled temperature, maturation for 18 months in French 'Allier' and 'Nevers' barriques of 300lt. Acidity: 5.8 g/L TA, pH: 3.45, Residual sugar: 1.5 g/L.
