Brilliant lemon colour. Complex nose with aromas of pear, mango and citron. Herbal hints of basil and mint. Rich and round on the palate, with intense flavour, balanced acidity and a long persistent finish.
Fresh fish, white meat, pasta and fruits.
Served at 8 - 10 °C.
The privately owned single organic vineyard of Domaine Porto Carras in Halkidiki, Northern Greece. Altitude: 100 - 150 m. Soil: clay loam. Harvest: End of August. Yield: 60-65 hl/ha.
Age of vines: 20 years (average).
Skin contact at low temperature. Vinification in stainless steel vats using selected yeasts at temperatures between 16 - 18 °C. Ageing on its lees for few months with periodical stirring, while a part matures in French oak barrels, enriching in this way the character of Malagousia.
Acidity: 5.5 g/L TA, Residual sugar: 1.2 g/L.
