Deep ruby red colour. Complex bouquet of aromas with hints of cherry, raspberry, dried fruit, vanilla and spices. Structured mouthfeel, soft tannins, present acidity and a long aftertaste of prune, tobacco and vanilla.
Perfectly combined with juicy barbequed meats, Greek lamb fricassee, spicy cold cuts, hard cheeses. Served at 15-17 °C.
A privately-owned 6-hectare vineyard in Koutsi, within the wine-growing region of Nemea, Peloponnese.
Altitude: 380m. Soil: sandy clay.
Harvest: End of September. Yield: 70 hl/he.
Age of vines: 20 years.
Typical red vinification, 12-month maturation in 50% new 225L French oak barrels, followed by 12 months of ageing in the bottle. Acidity: 5.4 g/L TA, Residual sugar: 1.7 g/L.
