Deep ruby-red colour. Fragrances of wood and red ripe fruits in a background of butterscotch and chocolate. A smart blend that expresses a harmonious character with a leafy core wrapped around solid and delicious red fruit.
Grilled veal, Cretan lamb, Cretan graviera.
Served at 16 - 18° C.
The privately owned vineyards in Kasteliana village, Heraklion, Crete.
Altitude: 200-300m. Soil: clay, limestone.
Harvest: Mid-September. Yield: 40-50 hl/he.
Age of vines: 15 years (average).
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at temperatures that do not exceed 28 °C. The wine produced from each variety matures separately in new French oak barrels for 12 months. Acidity: 5.6 g/L, Residual sugar: 2.2 g/L.
