Dark orange colour with playful hints of bronze, discreet witnesses to its slow ageing process. Aromas of honey, honeycomb, butterscotch candy, fruit preserves, and cherries preserved in marc waft through in a background of cocoa and chocolate, composing an exceptionally complex and profound bouquet that has been patiently built layer by layer.

Food pairing
Anthemis demands the intimate company of a pastry chef’s masterpieces, while after a meal and left to its own devices, it would be the ideal companion for a light cigar.
Served at 8-10 °C.
The semi-mountainous small-terraced vineyards of Samos Island, Aegean.
Altitude: 100-800m. Soil: sandy clay.
Harvest: Mid-August to late September.
Yield: 40-50 hl/he.
Age of vines: Over 50 years (average).
Agriculture: Mild.
Grapes reach the optimum ripeness. White vinification and must mud-removal process. The free-run juice ferments slowly in stainless steel tanks for a period of about six weeks. Before or upon commencement of fermentation, ethyl alcohol of vinicultural origin is added. Ageing for about 5 years in wooden casks. Acidity: 4.65 g/L TA, pH: 3.55, Residual sugar: 200.0 g/L.
